# How it works

You tell your agent what you want. We group it with others who want the same thing, sellers bid for the group, and the best offer comes back to you.

## Step by step

1. **Ask.** Tell your agent what you want and by when. It saves the request after you approve.
2. **Wait.** Counted with others who want something compatible. Before sellers quote, we may check you still want it.
3. **Offers.** Sellers see the group’s counts and send their best offer. We pick the best one; your agent checks it against what you said.
4. **Choose.** The best offer that fits comes to you, with its price and what it takes.
5. **Buy.** At the seller’s checkout. It ships from them, like any order from their shop.

## Two kinds of offer

- **No minimum.** Buy while places last. Your own order link, at the seller’s store. Nothing is held. Some offers end at a number of places, some on a date.
- **With a minimum.** Goes ahead at the line. You commit with a card hold, charged only if enough commit by the deadline. If not, it’s released.

If several sellers bid, you get the best one for the group.

## Sellers see the group, not you

Sellers see what’s wanted, counted by variant, area and timing, and send us their best offer. Your chats stay with your agent; we only receive the request. Your name, email, address and price limit stay with us.

## FAQ

### Why do some offers need a hold?

Some sellers can only reach a price if enough people buy at once. The hold shows them you’re in. It’s charged only if enough commit.

### Is the order link just for me?

Yes. It’s made for you and works once, for what you asked for. Passed on, it won’t get anyone else the price, so the places stay with people who asked.

### What does it cost?

Nothing for you. The seller pays Popular Demand’s 2%; it’s never added to your price. With a minimum, the offer is all-in for your address. With no minimum, delivery is as the seller states it and tax is worked out at their checkout.

### What’s always true?

- **Joining binds you to nothing.** Change or withdraw a request whenever you like. Bought it elsewhere? Withdrawing keeps the counts honest.
- **Your agent can’t spend your money by itself.** It can check offers and bring you the order link or the checkout. You pay, or a wallet you gave it does.
- **One offer, one exact price:** product, price, delivery, seller and date. If it doesn’t fit what you said, your agent drops it.
- **Your price limit stays yours.** Sellers never see it. An offer above it still reaches you, marked with the difference.
- **No minimum binds the seller, not you.** The seller keeps its price for the first buyers until its date. You buy only if you want to.
- **With a minimum, a hold, not a payment.** Cancel any time until the group first reaches the number needed; from then on it stays until the deadline. Too few: every hold is released.

### How long does it take?

- **Days to weeks** while people gather and sellers quote. You don’t need to check on it.
- **An offer with no minimum** lasts until its date or its last place.
- **About 4 days** to commit to an offer with a minimum, ending at its deadline.
- Requests last six months. After a month we check you still want it, and nothing is counted that you don’t.

### What if something goes wrong?

Message the seller first. If they don’t reply within 48 hours, Popular Demand steps in. Your card’s usual protections apply too.

Payments run in test mode: no real card is charged and no real money moves.
